SILMO 2013: serving the needs of its markets A resource S ilmo 2013 is set to underpin its unique positioning: to be a genuine business platform showcasing brands and companies in the global optics and eyewear sector, a resource serving the needs of its markets and offering a high return on investment for both exhibitors and visitors. Set for September 26 through 29, the MONDIAL DE L’OPTIQUE (World Optical Fair) will be held at Paris-Nord Villepinte, an exhibition centre that hosts all the major international business exhibitions (including SIAL, Maison & Objet, Premiere Vision, Intermat) located midway between Paris and Charlesde-Gaulle airport. More than 950 exhibitors from all over the world representing 1,350 brands are taking advantage of the exhibition to present their new collections, launch new labels, showcase their innovations and designs via the Trends Forum and participate in the SILMO d’OR, the only awards program recognized by the profession. Resources will be available to enhance knowledge and improve professional practice under the SILMO ACADEMY umbrella through technical workshops, Lab Tech and merchandising workshops. A well-coordinated logistics operation ensures easy access to the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre: a dedicated reception desk at stations and airports, a free shuttle service every day from 8am to 7pm (CDG Airport/Paris Nord Villepinte and Porte Maillot/Paris Nord Villepinte) in addition to all the usual modes of access: (RER B, car or train).
