SHADES OF PURPLE AND PINK From the softness of mauve to the shock of a perfectly purple frame, to the florescent hues that border on pink, the more colourful the better for one of the most popular range of colours in the spectrum. Alternative Eyewear’s Grace collection meets that colourful appeal with frames such as style 7048-CI, a deep mauve mixed metal frame. WestGroupe adopts the shades of purple in a variety of styles women consumers enjoy, including the Superflex collection model SF-406 and the KLiiK Denmark models K-503 with a brown lilac combination and K-504, with a purple sky hue. Match Eyewear’s Adrienne Vittadini collection embraces the mauve trend with Style 1124. “The deep mauve hue is highlighted in several ways—the bright sheen of the stainless rims, and in the multi-faceted mosaic inlays on polished acetate temples,” said Goodman. The company’s AV Studio collection includes Style 60S in Gradient Purple, which Goodman explains includes a design that embraces amethysts, gradients and contrasting rims and temples. “Amethyst is all the rage this season, as is the contrast of a delicate gradient front with solid textured temples,” Goodman said. Spectacle EYEworks Inc.’s designer and owner Mehran Baghaie embraced this purple and pink colour trend with bold expressions of classic styles with his own unique style, through two of his key collections. “I think the colours [this season] are going in two directions; either they are very clean conservative such as browns, black, tortoise, or completely contrary beautiful and vibrant colors!” Baghaie said. “With our Spectacle EYEworks and Pussy Galore collection I’ve incorporated very vibrant colors.” Top: AV-1124 from Match Eyewear.
