It was a standing-room-only crowd on
the Saturday evening of the conference
for a Google Connect VIP event that
featured a talk by Google agency developer
Liz Austin.
Austin spoke about how Internet searches
are the beginning of most purchases,
including for eyewear. In Canada and the
United States in 2016,Google users made
80 million searches a month on topics
related to vision, eye exams and optometry,
she told the crowd. More than half of
those searches were conducted using
a mobile device.
