The exclusive dye formulation allows the lenses to be more responsive in more lighting conditions across all temperatures. This includes being more reactive to indirect sunlight and becoming even darker on hot days. “Our Product Leadership Team works closely with our researches in Pittsburgh, who develop our photochromic dyes,” said Matson. “We tell them what our goal is, whether it’s speed, darkness, or fade back, and they develop the dye that would work best.” The result is a lens experience which wearers have said is aesthetically more pleasing than Transitions VI and offers a higher contrast.
