Club OpenRoad Winter Driving Event »
The BC Driving Centre was the venue for Club OpenRoad ’ s first-ever Winter Driving event last November , a sold-out event where a select group of OpenRoad attendees learned winter driving techniques . Skilled instructors supervised participants as they mastered skid control and over- and under-steer conditions in a safe , controlled environment . The event also offered participants a chance to compare select test-drive vehicles provided by OpenRoad , and to experience the difference between all-wheel drive , rear-wheel drive , and front-wheel drive in wintery road conditions .

In its fourth consecutive Family Day Skating Event , Club OpenRoad hosted guests for free skating , hot chocolate and cookies at ice rinks in Burnaby , Richmond , Coquitlam and Langley . The event has become so popular that this year ’ s organizers increased the skating times to permit a greater number of participants . In February Club OpenRoad debuted Hockey Night , an event designed to bring 500 families and friends together for a night out at the hockey game . The Coquitlam Express was on the field that night , a team that is part of the Mainland Division of the British Columbia Hockey League . For five lucky attendees the evening ended with even more applause when they were selected to participate in a shoot-to-win contest for a chance to win a new car from OpenRoad .
