In keeping with the summer and west coast sunset BBQ theme, the venue’s parking lot was transformed into a volleyball court suitable for a tournament, complete with sand trucked in for the occasion. Collector vehicles were on display as guests enjoyed a gourmet barbeque. “It was a fun evening reminiscent of vintage VW beach culture but with a definite modern, Westcoast vibe,” said Ben Lovie, OpenRoad Volkswagen general manager. The volleyball tournament was officiated by Volleyball BC and four winning team members went home with VW swag and a complimentary rental of a Volkswagen Golf R for a weekend.
