The 2016 Clubman now comes with four doors and is the longest and widest MINI yet. The vehicle retains much of the go-kart feel that keeps MINI owners coming back to the brand time and time again. The Clubman retains its distinctive rear “barn doors,” now poweroperated with a wave of the foot under the rear bumper. Behind those trick rear doors you’ll also find an interior that has gone upscale. In fact, the Clubman is the first MINI available with power-adjustable front seats with a memory function on the driver’s seat. Rear shoulder room increases by a significant 6.9 inches, and the rear seats themselves fold in 40/20/40 sections to ensure maximum cargo-hauling flexibility. Cargo space grows to 47.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded, a 15.1-cubic-foot improvement compared to its predecessor. Power-wise, the Clubman is available with MINI’s usual two turbocharged engines: a 1.5-litre three-cylinder with 134 hp, or a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 189 hp in the MINI Clubman Cooper S0. An all-wheel-drive Clubman Cooper S ALL4 will also be available this year.
