Summer just isn’t summer in Vancouver
without the annual Fair at the PNE. In
2016 the Fair runs August 20th through
September 5th, and OpenRoad is proud
to be the exclusive vehicle provider of
the Fair’s signature event, the PNE
Prize Home Lottery program. Look for
OpenRoad vehicle displays at shopping
centres across the Lower Mainland this
summer as part of the lottery mall tour and
the Fair in September.
PRIZE HOME HISTORY
For over 80 years the prize home draw
has been an annual tradition since the first
home debuted in 1934. The original house
was an 800-sq.ft. dream bungalow valued
at $5,000 that came with a free lot on East
Vancouver’s Renfrew Street. Lottery tickets
cost 25 cents back in the day, and if you
were the lucky winner, you also received
a $500 furniture package from Eaton’s
department store.
Fast forward to the 2015 PNE prize home,
and the lottery’s prize home featured an
open-concept and environmentally friendly,
3,080 sq-ft house situated on a lake-view
lot in Naramata. Valued at $2.1 million, the
home yielded quite a return for the winner
who purchased lottery tickets for $25 for 5,
or $50 for 15 tickets.
The PNE’s annual prize home lottery
program supports a variety of non-revenue
producing programs spanning agriculture,
community, arts and a large number of
other local programs.

OpenRoad Exotics Now Open
