My old mate Peter Woodruff once said. “Perseverance is THE measure of YOUR faith in YOUR future.” sell his reseller business to Bell Atlantic for £10 million, we have been busily gathering irrefutable evidence that the principles of developing a winning mind-set crosses ALL boundaries. Take our Olympians, Leicester City, Welsh Football, Facebook or Jordan Spieth, and yes all the guys at Seneca, and you’ll find the lessons are the same. 1. Work out what you want; exactly what you want (yes, you might need help with that, but it really can be whatever you want) 2. Decide whether it’s a pipedream or Future Reality (no need to tell anyone, just make sure you know, and you’ll find it helps if the answer is Future Reality) 52 | ONSIDE WINTER 2016 3. Yet Claudio Ranieri did, Chris Coleman did, the Icelandic Dentist did, and Sir Winston certainly did. Right now, we Brits need to focus on the five i2i WHAM points above, for sure. In my 24 years of research, whinging, moaning, bleating, blaming and looking back do not surface too often in success recipes of winning people and organisations; but ‘The Five Principles of WHAM’ do, repeatedly. ‘Perseverance is THE measure of YOUR faith in YOUR future’ my old mate Peter Woodruff once said. So come on; let’s WHAM!
