Babies also learn about textures and shapes by giving things a chew, so keep an eye on what’s being nibbled and make sure nothing too small makes its way into their mouth. Your baby at seven months Mom’s corner This new job of looking after baby is wonderful – but exhausting, particularly now that baby is more active. Making time to look after yourself is so important. Eat healthily, give yourself some time off and don’t forget to make time for your relationship too. If you haven’t already, try to find a friend or family member who can come in and babysit for you – even if it’s just an hour so you can go for a walk and clear your head.
