The dynamic duo of seniors Katy Meadows and Isabel Diaz captured the TAPPS 2A Women’s Doubles State Tennis Championship in dominating fashion, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0, over Austin Veritas Academy. It was a fitting end for the pair who spent their entire varsity career competing at the state tournament. They were joined at this year’s tournament by teammates
Anna Morimoto (second in district, girls singles) and Jake Abernathy and
Noah Niedzwiecki (second in district, boys doubles).
Boys golf took fourth in district competition, while junior Rayce Pohold narrowly missed the cut to advance to state, tying for 10th at regionals.
