The seniors of 2016 marked the 50th graduating class to walk the stage at Notre Dame Catholic High School. In all, 17 students were inducted into the school’s alumni ranks in a ceremony that featured Joe Cluley, former Notre Dame student and principal, as guest speaker.

The Class of 2016 totaled more than $1 million in scholarship offers to colleges and universities, with students enrolling at schools closer to home and beyond. Both the valedictorian, Frances Trivette, who received her appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, and salutatorian Mary Margaret Herring delivered touching speeches recalling wonderful years and fond memories at NDCS.

Sunday’s graduation was preceded by baccalaureate mass held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiated by Fr. Jack McKone.
