In Algeria, UN Women co-hosted the 5th General Assembly of the Kigali International Conference in partnership with the General Directorate of National Security on the Role of security bodies in Ending Violence Against Women and Girls. The conference was attended by high-level stakeholders including UN Secretary General and concluded with concrete commitments to better deal with violence against women and girls in security sector.
