and posts are the same proportion,
increasing the sense of continuity.
Right: The second-storey master
suite opens to an expansive
balcony that cantilevers over the
living spaces below. Simple and
understated, the material colour
palette complements the gum tree,
which is still the dominant feature on
the large, sloping site. The upstairs
balcony accesses views that were
not seen from the existing home.
