Rob Tanico of Long Branch is best known for his musical talents in national bands like Mr. Reality and Highway 9, but, like many musicians, he’s become a visual artist along the way. “I admire all artists,” said Tanico. ”I’m in awe of renaissance art, it’s so fundamentally proficient and yet conveys such passion. On the opposite side of the spectrum, I’m fascinated by primitive cave paintings and Egyptian art, beautifully rudimentary. “I believe that creativity is just a strong sensitivity to stimuli, colors, sound, joy & sorrow, I think any truly creative person be visual artist, its just a question of finding your voice. That took me 40 years. “I’ve been doing little sketches and doodles since I was a kid, but not until I started exploring the digital mediums did I really start to feel a real creative surge. That was about 2 years ago.” Visit us online at http://www.NewJerseyStage.com pg 55
