INDUSTRY NEWS ...NEWSWIRE...NEWSWIRE...NEWSWIRE.  Based on its recent analysis of the modular data centre market, Frost & Sullivan recognised Cannon Technologies with the 2015 European Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year Award. The company’s products range from containerised solutions to pre-fabricated modular solutions and micro and mini modular data centres. To cater to mainstream data centre applications, the company introduced Cannon Data Campus, a proven, resilient and efficient pre-fabricated modular solution. The Cannon Data Campus is equipped with high-performance infrastructure, designed to achieve low power usage effectiveness with free cooling and up to tier-4 reliability. www.canontech.co.uk  IT Managed Service Provider, Amicus ITS, is warning businesses to be vigilant with regards to data security following a recent survey, which revealed that most workers are now accessing often confidential work data from their private mobile phones. The UK wide survey of more than 1,000 people, conducted by Amicus ITS, identified that almost 60% of respondents are now using some form of personally owned mobile device for work purposes. The survey showed that some 37.3% of people use their own mobile phone, while 32.6% use a personal laptop, 23% a private desktop computer and 22.5% a personally owned tablet device. Head 6 NETCOMMS europe Volume V Issue 5 6 2015 of security and governance at Amicus ITS, JP Norman said: “Nearly all IT managers should be concerned about the impact of mobile security, with lost or stolen information a very real threat to most organisations. Indeed, IT security incidents and high impact corporate breaches are never far from the news. “With today’s inherently mobile workforce many organisations’ corporate information is exposed and all too easily transferred outside of managed environments. It’s a growing problem, highlighted by our survey and the growing number of people using personal mobile devices, often with little or no security, to access often sensitive corporate information.” www.amicusits.co.uk  Superfast Berkshire has reached another milestone as Gigaclear, the ultrafast pure fibre broadband provider, began the first stage of network construction in West Berkshire.
