atching alligators? Doesn’t sound like a job most of us would warm to,
does it? But for Professor Lou Guillette it’s all in a day’s work. This past
May through July, Professor Guillette led a small group of graduate
students doing just that—catching alligators on Kiawah Island. Their
goal was not to remove them, but to collect data on alligator biology. Had you
stopped to speak with them, you could have learned more about alligators in five
minutes than you might otherwise learn in a lifetime.
