LIFESKILLS
LifeSkills created with Barclays is a free, curriculum-linked employability programme for 11-19 year olds which
supports young people to develop the skills most sought by employers. From CV writing to confidence building
and tips for networking – we know how important skills like these, along with access to a range of work
experience opportunities, are for young people. That’s why this section of the guide is all about equipping young
people with essential employability skills for the world of work. As part of our commitment to evolving the
LifeSkills programme, we’re always keen to hear about how it’s being used first-hand, so we caught up with Careers
Adviser, Belinda Jones, to hear all about her experience with the programme.
