Another mode of entry for male unmarried candidates to the Indian Navy is through the 10 + 2 ( B Tech ) Cadet Entry scheme at the Indian Naval Academy , Ezhimala , Kerala , leading to permanent commission in the Indian Navy .
. Applicant must be unmarried . Marrying during the course is not permitted . Applicant must have passed one of the qualifying examinations listed which include Plus 2 , in the first attempt with English , Physics , Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60 % of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects taken together , not less than 50 % marks in English and 50 % marks in each of the science subjects .
They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the tenth standard . Selection is based on the score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ( NEET ) conducted by CBSE , Test of English Language , Comprehension , Logic and Reasoning ( ToELR ) conducted by AFMC and Interview to be conducted by AFMC Pune . Usually , 105 boys & 25 girls are admitted every year for MBBS at AFMC , Pune .
The College is fully residential . Students have to stay in hostel and hostel accommodation is free for service liability candidates . Other concessions are also available to students .
