An in house journal of Additional Skill Acquisition Programme
The first generation Programme Managers who joined ASAP from the VHSE Schools during initial days moved heaven and earth in the field during the summer to lubricate the administrative machinery of Schools and Colleges to make TSS happen in field . In fact it was their sweat that resulted in a wonderful campaign in the state . And when the campaign vehicle travelled from campus to campus , it left behind a trail of hope and opportunities in young minds . The campaign opened doors to a professional life in training field and students took little time to grab the opportunity . They lined up for the recruitment campaign and the team had a tough time filtering the best from the good . Team members also spread out to different parts of the State to join the TSS campaign and keep the spirit alive . There was great energy and passion as the idea of ASAP seeped into the institutional and individual minds . Students selected during the campaign were placed in 21 day grooming sessions and further selection processes .
TSS 2013 laid the foundation for the ASAP programme in the State and generated great team spirit among the team members . The art of crisis management was also tried for the first time in ASAP when there was a cascade of events across the state that threw problems every now and then . No one knew when he / she would be asked to move out to address an issue in the field and every one kept moving from place to place to respond to situations . The seeds sown by TSS set the stage for the taking off of the Programme in Schools and Colleges . Educational institutions in the nook and corner of the state understood ASAP and its goals . TSS thus played a key role in the early growth and evolution of the programme . It was also the first formal activity of the Communication Division that was slowly taking shape .
