THOUGHT WAVES De facto metamorphosis

“ We delight in the beauty of a butterfly , but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty ”– Maya Angelou
It ’ s been more than three years I have been working as an SDE of ASAP , when I reminisce myself there is a great diversification which I can realise . It was my first working day in ASAP in a very prestigious secondary school . I was rather nervous . I was young and looked childish . So many students pushed me in the corridor mistaking me as another student . I tried to look serious . Checked my dress , hair and bravely entered into the classroom . Every young charming faces stood up staring at me , trying to guess what kind of a trainer I ’ m . I remember how well I was prepared for my session , a good plan , an interesting introduction ….. I was full of energy and hope , I greeted them and started asking them typical questions .
There I saw discrepant behaviour from the students ….. Some one answered , some were so scary , some were engaged in other works , few were listening to me , some looking here and there like as they don ’ t belong to this class room …. it was all actually a discerning of myself that each student needs special care which differs from person to person depending on their calibre . There I realised a reconstruction in me from a student to a trainer .
It is a common sense reality that a conventional classroom must move forward in transforming student and learning supports . Yet , it has taken some time for major efforts to emerge . In the meantime , peripheral and interior barricade to learning and teaching have continued to pose pervasive and entrenched remonstrance to young learners across . Failure to directly consign these barriers ensures that ( a ) too many children and youth will continue to struggle in school , and ( b ) trainers will continue to divert precious instructional time to dealing with behaviour and other problems that can interfere with classroom engagement for all students . It is not regarding perfection rather it is about effort we take . And when you bring that effort every single day that is where the real remodelling happens , that ’ s how change occurred in my classroom . It will take time , it will require dedication , it will require will power , and it requires sacrifice .
