Payment Methods
The Village of Riverside has several methods of payment
available. The cashier’s window at the Village Office accepts
checks, cash, Discover, VISA or MasterCard. Payment via
check can also be mailed via US Mail or in the silver drop box
outside of the Township Hall. If you prefer, payments to the
Village for utility bills, traffic tickets, vehicle sticker renewals,
parking permit renewals and parks & recreation can be made
on the website through the Pay tab at the top of the home
page. Payment for utility bills may also be automatically
deducted from your checking account on the due date of the
bill. Forms for the automatic payment can be found at the
front desk of the Village Office or on the website,
www.riverside.il.us in the Form Center (bottom of home
page) under the Finance section.
Snow Removal
Snow removal is conducted by the Public Works
Department. Main streets are given priority with the side
streets and Central Business District sidewalks to follow.
Residents are not permitted to remove snow from their
driveways into the street. Doing so makes it difficult for
Public Works crews to keep streets clear for emergency
vehicles and other motorists.
Solicitors
Solicitors must receive a permit before soliciting and are
allowed to solicit only during the hours of 9:00AM and
5:00PM. If you do not want solicitors to come to the door,
post a sign near the door stating “No Solicitors Invited”.
Signs are available at the Village Office free of charge. If a
solicitor stops at a posted home, you may then call the Police
Department. Do not allow any solicitor into your home
