On October 23, 2014, Center for America held the Delivering on the Promise Honor Roll Reception for community leaders. This reception hosted leaders from several agencies helping veterans, including: government, non-profit, corporations, military, and associations. The purpose of the reception was to present the first annual recognition awards for corporations, nonprofits, trade associations, and military state employment programs that have gone above and beyond in their service to the employment of National Guard and veterans.

During the awards portion of the reception, CASY was recognized as the premiere nonprofit aiding National Guard and veterans with employment placement. Other awards were given to Phillips 66, Weatherford, Ed4Online, Total Quality Logistics, the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA), Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), SHRM, and Manpower to Horsepower. Recognition was also given to the law firms of Caplin & Drysdale and Baker & McKenzie for their contributions in time and expertise in the preparation of resource materials for employers supporting the American Jobs for America’s Heroes campaign and to Paul Nathanson from Bracewell & Guiliani for his guidance, support, and assistance in outreach efforts to employers and trade associations.

Special recognition awards were given to the MI National Guard, the CA National Guard, and the NC National Guard State Commands for their exemplary employment and career services and support given to the National Guard and veterans in their states.
