Waterproof.
This mini tent has one of the highest flysheet waterproof ratings around. With a hydrostatic head of
10,000 on the fly sheet that really is rather good going! The fly is separate to the base that has a sewn in
groundsheet to the same HH rating as the fly. With a rating like that you can rest assured that just about
any rain you get caught in you’ll be safe and dry in the mini tent.
What is a hydrostatic head? Good question and looking around it shows that for something to be legally
classed as ‘waterproof’ not resistant or replant then it must have a HH of 1000 min. What the do is have a
tube of set diameter and then stretch fabric over one end. Then fill the tube with water until it begins to
come through the fabric. 1000HH means that the water was 1m high in the tube before it had enough
pressure to come through the fabric.
