Conclusion
I’m left in no doubt that this bike is the best that I have been on in the touring
class. Just about everything (other than LED lights and there is no getting
away from them with modern bikes) has been thought through to provide you
with comfort, power, safety and performance graded with a host of options
on how those characters are delivered to suit the individual rider.
The KTM 1290 is not a cheap bike at £15,999 MSRP but if you keep in mind
that a BMW 1200GSA with the same additions as the KTM 1290 would
actually cost you more but without the performance – you’re getting a LOT of
bike for your money.
