In my sullen mood , I continued coming in after work , preparing myself for the next work day , then i ’ d design more stationery . I told myself to keep working and that ’ s what I did . I refused to listen to my gloom , instead , rekindled my determination knowing it ’ s already taking me many of places already .
I came in from work and began my evening ’ s routine , then my phone rang . A gentleman called me to make an appointment to have his document notarized . I was notarizing the document when the customer asked it I designed letterheads for businesses , of course I told him yes . The man inquired my price , I told him my charge for letterheads and Cha Ching , he paid me cash on the spot . I immediately went to work on customizing his letterheads . When he came back to pick his order up he expressed his satisfaction with the results of my work and his purchase .
My customer began to tell me of a project task he was assigned , his task was to get a pamphlet style brochure together , he asked if I wanted the job and again , inquired my price . A verbal agreement had been made , I knew this gentleman through different associates for quite some time and did not feel the need to request a deposit for my work . I immediately , made preparations and adjustments to my entire schedule again .
I was now going to work from 8am to 5pm , then coming home to work on his brochure of twenty pages between 7 pm until 10 pm every day for three weeks . I implemented the requirement of my customer stopping by every day after his own work day was through , enabling him to give step by step approvals . I was ultimately decreasing the amount of my revision time . My work was done , the twenty page pamphlet was completed , the customer was very happy and it was time for him to pay me .
