MORE Magazine : As a man of faith , what issues are touchy for you ? Politics . Religion ?
Sean Nordsell : Ahhhhhh politics and religion , they are extremely touchy subjects . But in a world ran by social media and an industry ran predominantly by one political party and one religious affiliation , it makes those subjects , no matter how sensitive , extremely relevant . I myself am a Christian Conservative Republican . I have lost a lot of work because of that . I am used to working with Jewish ran productions and I get along great with Jewish people on a personal level . " We both have faith " it ' s a common bond that we share .
Atheists can sometimes be hard to work with . One time I was on set for an independent film , we had been filming for several hours and took a break . I was talking with one of the cameramen during the break and we were talking about God . The producer and director overheard our conversation . The director came up to us and said " We are atheists and we don ' t want any Christians involved with this film ". we were both asked to leave the set . We still got paid , but we were both replaced . I couldn ' t believe it . I could see a Christian not wanting an atheist as part of their film , but I just couldn ' t understand why this would make a difference .
One of the happiest memories that I have on a set was a music video we were shooting . Before we even started the director , producers , hair and make-up , actors , extras , sound and lighting all took a moment to say a prayer and asked God to bless the production . " It made me feel happy and confident ".
