As a child I always needed a creative outlet . Drawing , singing , learning guitar ... Something to keep the creativity flowing . But I quickly realized I was doing it to make others happy . It meant more to me to see a smile on someone ' s face " that I put there " than whatever it was I had accomplished . I realized I wanted to entertain ! But I wasn ' t sure at what capacity . One day " before I was a teenager " I snuck into a Hollywood movie set " hoping to get my face in the shot " it was a closed set , but I wasn ' t going to let that stop me . As fate or I would have it , I walked right into the shot " Literally right in front of the camera " during a take . Within a nanosecond " Actor " James Woods was screaming at me for ruining the take . I was thrown off the set . Being a child , this scared the crap out of me . I thought " WOW if people act like this , I want nothing to do with this industry ". So I stuck to writing and music as my outlet .
Years later I was working at a high class hotel when one day a TV crew came in . I showed them were they would be filming and after a few hours of director came back to me . He handed me a script and said " You are exactly what I ' m looking for , can you read these lines " I looked it over and said " yes ". He responded " can you come read them in about an hour ". I told him I would talk it over with my boss and since we were slow at the time that I would probably be able to do it . I asked my boss and for some reason he said I would be fired if I did it . I brought the script back to the director and declined telling him what my boss said .
What the director said next changed my life . He said " I ' m a director for NBC " one of the biggest networks in the world and we are filming one of the biggest TV shows in the world . You have the look I want and you have already memorized the script , ANYBODY would kill to be in this position . 10 years from now do you want to be an actor or work at a f $? king hotel ? I will take you under my wing " I quit my job immediately and went to the set … On a side note , my part got cut in editing and I signed a contract that states I would not say what show it was . But the director did take me under his wing which opened the doors to more opportunities later .
