Now that I am stronger, I wanted to give
back. I began buying gas cards and handing
them out to patients. I also recieved gifts of
lotion, inspirational journals, key chains,
charms, blankets and other items; tohelp
make patients comfortable while undergoing
treatment.
My mom had lost her battle with cancer in
1991 and to honor her life and legacy ,
ALMAS HOPE AGAINST HOPE was
founded. As a cancer survivor,this is my way
of giving back to patients directly. I can't do it
alone , I really need your help so that we can
help as many patients as possible..

After being diagnosed with bilateral breast
cancer in 2012. I realizied the tremendous toll
it had on me physically, mentally and
financially.
This was a very tough time for my family. My
husband had lost his job and I was too weak
to work and was trying to maintain my family
on a disability income.
I remember the generosity of my coworkers,
family, friends and strangers ;who reached
out to lend my family a helping hand.
Because of their help, I was able to make
ever doctors appointment. My lights remained
on, My children were never hungry.
