CINQ FAÇONS DE COMBATTRE LE BLUES HIVERNAL objectives is a proven way to keep motivation

S

Set a Spring Fitness Goal
Whether this is your first “fitness rodeo” or you’re
a seasoned trainee, setting measureable fitness
high. Aim for improvement rather than mainten-
ance by challenging yourself with running dis-
tance, pounds lifted, and number of daily steps or
calories burned. Track your weekly progress with
a personal log or journal to fix your eyes on the
prize and not the accumulation of snow outside.
Construct a Home Gym
If you really can’t fathom the thought of braving
the cold to get your exercise on, consider a low-
cost home gym set-up. It can be as minimal as
hand weights, a skipping rope, and a yoga mat
combined with a simple online video program.
Leaving the house when it’s cold and dark out-
side can be a challenge for diehard trainees and
much more so for anyone new to fitness.
Join the Pack
If you’re looking to stay motivated, meet
likeminded people, and get great results, then
group training is probably for you. No matter
the activity — indoor tennis, trail hiking, Zumba,
bootcamp or swimming — there’s a group for
that. Commit to a paid month-to-month pro-
gram and you’ll drastically increase the likeli-
hood of sticking to it. gg
