DuPont Pediatric Prize for “ the student whose performance best demonstrates the qualities of academic and clinical excellence , human compassion and commitment to the welfare of others .” Followingcame his internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin Children ’ s Hospital ; he then spent one year teaching clinical pediatrics at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester , England . Dr . Fost completed afellowship in allergy / immunology at the internationally recognized National Jewish Medical and Research CenterinDenver , Colorado . It is the only medical and research center in the U . S . devoted entirely to respiratory , allergic and immune system diseases .
