SOCIAL SCENE OPEN BOOK/OPEN MIND’S A PIECE OF THE WORLD New York Times No. 1 bestselling author Christina Baker Kline recently spoke about her latest novel, A Piece of the World, to an SRO audience at the second anniversary of Montclair Public Library’s Open Book/Open Mind series. Noted local author Matthew Thomas introduced Kline, and acclaimed writer Caroline Leavett interviewed her following her slide show about Christina Olson, the inspiration for Andrew Wyeth’s iconic Christina’s World. Vital Dining’s Kwame Williams was one of 15 chefs who gathered at the Inn at Serenbe in Georgia for the James Beard Foundation’s 11th Chefs Boot Camp for Policy and Change in March. The intensive three-day pro- gram focused on advocating for food waste reduction.
