The SMMC staff member truly cares about their student workers' academic and personal successes just like they care about the UNT students they serve. The SMMC works diligently to provide the best financial literacy programs, so that UNT students can become more informed about their financial lives. Our staff and peer mentors provide individual coaching that leaves students feeling competent, capable, and hopeful for their current financial predicaments and futures. Every SMMC team member works hard so that UNT students can achieve their financial goals and overcome difficult situations. Working at the Student Money Management Center has been one of the best work environments that I have had the chance of being a part of.

Interning here and being a part of the SMMC was an incredible experience! Everyone that works here makes it such a friendly environment, one that is very welcoming to all current and past students. The friendly environment carries over to the one-on-one coaching sessions as well! In the several coaching sessions. Our coaches genuinely want to see students succeed and achieve their financial goals. Seeing this in my internship really motivated me to want become a financial planner, and helped equip me with a lot of the skills I will need in the years ahead!
