Career Connect is excited to provide a useful resource to all students through the e-portfolio. This tool, now accessible through the my.unt.edu portal, provides students the tools and opportunities to connect experiences on campus and in the community as something that can be showcased to prospective employers as proof of skills and accomplishments.
You can take advantage of this tool by logging into my.unt.edu, creating your identity page, and submitting projects through the e-portfolio self-submit option. An e-portfolio project can be an experience where teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills are demonstrated. When inputting a project, you can email a professor or supervisor who can verify the experience. If the verification happens, the experience is eligible to become a Career Connect experience. The verification process allows for an assessment of your performance and is then displayed in the e-portfolio as a verified experience.
From day one, every UNT student should be making important and valuable connections between the many experiences and opportunities that are available - across curricular and co-curricular experiences. This means that every activity and experience a student has while at UNT can now be included in this e-portfolio. Your e-portfolio can be tailored to justify why you believe you have the skills that qualify you for a job, and highlight examples and proof of your abilities.
