zeik We have a chat with photographer, graphic designer and electrical engineer, Ezekiel Inocencio. Originally from Manila, he talks to us about how drawing started his love for both sides of his career. Ezekiel Hi Chris, I’m all done with halloween lunch! Not exactly, there’s way more to explore out there haha. Hayley is very sweet. Yes, I’m an engineer by day. I’ve always been a visua l artist...actually what came first was my drawings. I loved to sketch. I was always trying to sketch down vehicles and characters from some of my favourite movies like Star Wars. m.ink did you dress up this year? No I wasn’t able to do so. But I’ll be grabbing something quick after work nice -- that’s awesome. Glad you’re back -- How was Alberta? haha.. me too. I had a massive fascination over drawing gigantic boats, buildings and cars Yes I know! Alberta is just stunning. We often get lost in our concrete jungles here and forget that we have mountains out west. Highly recommend taking a trip out there Definitely! It’s because of those films, half of me was engrossed in how I could possibly make some of those technologies a reality (hence engineering) and the other half just went wow that’s stunning (hence visual artist) Yah.. one of my best friends is out there.. Never got the chance to go out.. sometime soon. Which part were you in? I was going to be an architect or something -- at least drafting. but then I got lazy and decided that I’m going to build programs on computers. You should do it! I flew out to Calgary first and explored Banff and Lake Louise which is pretty close. Then I went up to Edmonton for my friends’ wedding and we explored Jasper for a bit afterwards. What are you working on right now at work? I’m actually working on some electrical drawings for an industrial building. My discipline is electrical engineering. And yea, being an architect is not a job, it’s a lifestyle. Tons of work holy crap. you literally got a tour of the province I was chatting with Hayley and she says you’re awesome.. you’re an engineer by day? engineer by day, graphic artist at some other time, photographer other times and videographer as well -- what came first?
