Collaboration with a portuguese postmodernist artist , Joao Figueiredo , who works in acrylic with a strong black palette for maximum impact . Using half-seen fragments of older paintings , he juggles modernity with tradition and infuses the whole with humour , playing with the whole concept of art and how we appreciate it . By ‘ appropriating ’ these traditional portraits of women of yore – and taking something away – he recreates the feel of Duchamp ’ s surrealism . Made from 100 % cotton satin , with concealed zip and feather pad . The cushion collection includes Celia , Edith , Isabella and Grace cushions . Dimensions : 450mm x 450mm
