Kool & The Gang is a legendary jazz,
funk, R&B and disco band. Originally
formed in 1964 in Jersey City, N.J, the
band has continued to change and
evolve, becoming one of the most
influential bands in music history. Main
members include brothers Robert “Kool”
Bell and Ronald Bell, Dennis Thomas,
and George Brown. Enormously
successful, the band has sold over 70
million albums. Their most popular songs
are “Celebration,” “Jungle Boogie,”
“Summer Madness,” and “Open
Sesame.” Their songs have continued to
influence the artists of today and are
often sampled in many popular songs,
notably the Hip Hop genre. They have
garnered two Grammys and seven
American Music Awards. They have
charted extraordinary well, earning 25
Top Ten R&B Hits, nine Top 10 Pop hits
and 31 Gold and Platinum Albums.
Signifying their status as rolling stone
icons, Kool & The Gang remains one of
the most actively touring bands in music.
