gave some of the cars a chance to stretch their legs !
Many cars and people caught up at the Manuum ferry crossing the Murray . The river was at a high level , and the talk was that more water is expected and the level will rise even further .
The turn off to Younghusband was indicated by a MG sign put up by Alan . Had to be quick to see this as we were flashing by at 110 . The drive along the riverfront was interesting and turning the corner towards Alan & Ros ' place , wasn ' t hard to miss with plenty of MG ' s parked out the front .
With 34 cars and 60 + people , made for some shading grabbing spots to sit . They were packed pretty tight out in the back yard , but no complaints . Ros and Alan again were the perfect hosts for the brekky run destination . I ' m sure Alan fielded many questions about the river level and where the ' 54 flood reached . I was asked whether this run destination is an annual event . Looking at the calendar for 2017 , I see that a run to Manuum is booked in for Nov and so hope so !
So signing off for the last run of the year , I want pass on my thanks to Steve Spong & Barb Harrington for continuing the great work of coordinating the brekky runs . Look forward to all the good brekky runs next year !
