Breakfast Run to Angaston
29th May 2016
W
e were lucky enough to pick a
dry, but chilly, day between the
rains for our May breakfast run to the
Barossa Valley and Angaston Oval. In
fact the break in the weather brought
out a record equalling number of cars
going back over 6 years of breakfast
runs. We had 33 cars with 55 people
and 1 dog breakfasting at Angaston.
Amongst the crowd was Mary Wagner
with her friend Bronte. Mary came
along in her recently acquired gold
coloured MGF to suss us all out, and
we must have passed somehow as
she signed up for membership on the
day. We also welcomed Steve & Pat
Holmes in their beautiful Mark 1 Bug
Eye Sprite, and it was good to see the
Fowerakers back on these runs as it
was Alan's first day back behind the
wheel after doctors orders had
cleared him to drive.
John Roach did it again by turning up
in yet another MGB that he has been
painstakingly restoring.
So thanks to all who came, whether
for the whole run, by joining en route,
or by meeting us at the end. Well
done too to all of those who had the
tops down and who needed a hot coffee at the end in order to warm up.
