Our future prosperity depends on our ability to translate innovative new ideas into new services and products as quickly and effectively as possible. This will create new opportunities and challenges for us all, but by locating decision making more closely to local and regional communities it provides for faster decisions, which are better tailored to the needs and aspirations of those affected by them. Former Winter Paralympian and World Cup skier Sean Rose compered this year’s Medilink UK Awards, which returned to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena for the Med-Tech Innovation Expo. It was another opportunity to celebrate the past year’s cutting edge technologies, outstanding business achievements and international success across the UK’s Life Sciences sector. Sheffield-based Swellaway Limited beat off competition from across the UK to win the Nabarro Start-Up Award.
