Black Pepper is Bringing the Spice to Martensville

As Martensville continues to grow , the desire for new businesses continues to grow with it . Soon , local residents will have another food option to choose from . Black Pepper , a restaurant offering East Indian cuisine , has made Martensville its new home , and has taken over the old Co-op building , located on the corner of Centennial Drive North and Main Street .
The building has been completely redone inside , with everything having been replaced , and the outside of the building has been painted a more suitable black . A sign has been installed and Black Pepper owner , Keldeep Singh expects to be open around September 20th , if not sooner as construction is moving ahead at a breakneck pace .
Some of you ‘ foodies ’ out there may already be familiar with Black Pepper , as there is currently one in Saskatoon at 103-440 2nd Avenue North . Black Pepper offers traditional East Indian dishes , as well as a number of fusion items among the most popular dishes . You can expect to see Butter Chicken , Vindaloo , as well as Tandoori dishes , meat and seafood dishes , and many more .
“ Martensville made sense as a location because I already have so many people coming in from Martensville and from Warman and we do a lot of catering out here . Martensville is a great community . We expect to be doing delivery within Martensville . This will be a fine dining restaurant with a buffet as well as a bar ,” Singh explained .

On Monday , September 5th , Canadian Blood Services made their way back to the North Ridge Community Centre in Martensville to host a blood donor clinic . Canadian Blood Services was looking to meet a goal of 32,000 donations by the end of the long weekend . They were particularly looking for O Negative which is low in the National Inventory .
R e c e n t l y , Canadian Blood Services united with blood donor organizations across 21 countries to highlight an almost 30 % international drop in people becoming donors compared to a decade ago . Because of blood donors , every second , three people around the world receive a life changing blood transfusion .
