All Submissions provided by Venture Heights and Valley Manor School VHS Golf Program a Success Venture Heights had another successful fall golf program. Approximately twenty young golfers practiced at the Legends Course in Warman before playing nine holes at the Silverwood Golf Course in Saskatoon. Thirteen golfers advanced to the division tournament in Delisle held on September 21st. After nine holes of play, Haiven Thomas captured the girl’s championship and Ryan Redekopp brought home a medal, finishing first on the boy’s side. Our team represented VHS well, displaying sportsmanship and a positive attitude. Players were able to develop their skills while familiarizing themselves with the rules and etiquette of the game. ABOVE: Grade 4D from VMS participates in a team building exercise. Students are given tasks to complete that require the group to work together. VHS Terry Fox Run What a beautiful day it turned out to be for our Terry Fox Walk. This was held on Friday September 30th. The staff and students were excited to get out and get some fresh air. Also during the week of September 26th to the 30th, VHS held “Loonie Tuesday” and “Toonie Wednesday”, where staff and students brought their donations to the school. We raised over $1,400.00 for the Terry Fox Foundation. Great Job Everyone!!!
