Opening on the 22nd of October, Linden Hergott introduced First and First Boardshop with the help of girlfriend, Allison. Hergott, owner and operator of First and First Boardshop, stated that “this has been a long time personal dream to get my own store going. I’ve always had an interest in skateboarding and snowboarding so when I found the opportunity to do it I took advantage.” Originating from Humboldt, Hergott mentioned his draw to the community of Warman, mentioning how he prefers a community this size rather than the hustle and bustle of Saskatoon. First and First offers a great deal to choose from, boards are certainly not the only things in stock. With the help of Hergott’s girlfriend, Allison, the couple have teamed up well in diversifying the store with items for males, females and even families. “The big thing about us is that we are not all about targeting youth skateboarders; our shop has stock for men, women and families as well. There is something for everyone here,” informed Hergott. Allison is a fulltime registered nurse, and takes time out of her busy schedule to help out around the store. “I am also a fashion blogger so it has been fun adding my own twist into this store. It allows non-boarders to shop here as well,” says Allison. This enthusiastic couple are proud and excited to call this store their own.
