Martensville Ladies Night Presents Donations

Members of the Martensville Ladies Night Committee presented cheques to three organizations Tuesday , June 28 . The money was raised through the annual Martensville Ladies Night fundraiser , which was held Saturday , May 14th at the North Ridge Community Centre . This year , the event was a 70 ’ s Disco Night , which proved to be a popular theme , as the approximately 300 ladies that attended the event really got into the spirit of the 70 ’ s ! Thanks to the support of the community , Scotia Bank volunteers , and the sponsors of Martensville Ladies Night ; including Passions Beauty Studio , The Beach , Martensville Messenger ,
Heinrichs Jewelers , Royal LePage – Helen Hyde , Remax – Cara Unser and Hundseth , the group was able to donate a total of $ 10,300 . A donation of $ 1000 was made to Pawsitive Independence , $ 3800 to the Martensville Community Recreation Project , a $ 500 scholarship to MHS and $ 5000 to STARS Air Ambulance . Thank you to everyone that made this such a successful event once again .

Draw Made For KidSport Playhouse

Members of the Martensville & District Lions Club gathered at the A & W to sell the final tickets for the raffle on June 24th . The playhouse was built by the students and staff at Martensville High School , with donated material from Martensville Building & Home Supply . With anticipation , a crowd gathered to see who would be taking the incredible structure home . Heather Ranger of Leask was the lucky winner of the 2016 Martensville KidSport playhouse .
“ Our members spent around 450 hours selling tickets on behalf of KidSport ,” Syl Serblowski of the Lions Club stated . The club was happy to help out and made an additional financial

donation to KidSport . The Lions would like to thank all the people who bought tickets and supported this very worthwhile endeavor . They also want to recognize the sponsors of this project ; Martensville A & W , Martensville Building & Home Supply , The Clark ’ s Crossing Gazette , Saskatchewan Valley News , and Brad ’ s Towing .
