New Horizons Offers Activities for Seniors Ciara O ’ Reilly , Martensville Messenger
A group of local seniors have come together to arrange activities for those 55 and older based at the New Horizons Senior Centre . Monday nights are the established potluck dinners ( exempting holidays ), and Thursdays have been established morning drop-in-for-coffee days with the recent introduction of ‘ paint day ’ which is led by two head painters . Entertainment is also provided on a monthly basis and hosted at the New Horizons Senior Centre . “ Anyone can get involved , as long as you are 55 and over ,” says Doreen Emmerson , Senior Planning Chair- Person . Seniors are encouraged to get involved with the activities provided and are more than welcome to take part .
