Martensville Ladies ’ Bonspiel

Another very successful Ladies ’ Bonspiel was held in Martensville on February 10-12 . There were 21 teams entered that kept the rink a very busy place on the weekend . The Bonspiel consisted of 3 Events with each team guaranteed 3 games . The Banquet Saturday night was served by PicNics Catering .
This year the theme was “ Slumber Party ” so many
of the curlers were dressed in their sleep attire and enjoyed showing their spirit on the ice and at the banquet . Heather Burnett , the Ladies ’ representative and her committee , did a great job hosting this event again this year . They would like to especially thank Martensville Pharmacy and Snipz Hair Design & Spa who were major sponsors . The finals of each event took place on Sunday at 4:00 pm with Sherry Andersons ’ team winning the A Event over the Gillies rink . The B Event winners were the Thevenot rink while Team Burnett brought home the C Event . The club is hosting a funspiel on March 24-25 . Call Derek 306-260-8940 for more information .
