Snipers Win A Side in

Warman Tournament

The Martensville Peewee A Snipers attended the Warman Peewee A Tournament December 9-11 . It was a 12 team four pool tournament .

The Snipers won their pool with a solid win against RedWing Icewolves and a last second come from behind tie against Dalmeny .

They advanced to the A side semi-final winning against the Renegade Rampage , where they captured the A side in a strong team effort .

The Calgary Flames are on fire right now . The Flames have won their last six games as of Monday and that is mostly thanks to Chad Johnson being an absolute wall in the Calgary crease . Johnson has won nine of his last ten , averaging less than two goals a game ( 17 goals in 10 games ). Another boost for Calgary was the return of their leading scorer Johnny Gaudreau who came back after just three weeks from a broken finger . Johnny hockey has had 8 points in his first 4 games back from injury . The Flames are hot but they aren ’ t flying as high as the Philadelphia Flyers who have won their last 9 games in a row . The Flyers have outscored their opponents 32-19 in those nine games and have no signs of slowing down . Both of these teams are still chasing the number one team in the league and after getting a point in an overtime loss on Monday , the Montreal Canadiens are tops in the league by a single point over the Pittsburgh Penguins . It would seem that the New York Giants are kryptonite to the Dallas Cowboys . The Cowboys eleven game win streak was snapped by the Giants on Sunday with a 10-7 score . Dallas now has a 11-2 record with both losses coming to the New York Giants . After the New England Patriots picked up a win on Monday over the Baltimore Ravens , they are now tied for the best record in the league with the Cowboys at 11-2 .

The Toronto Raptors haven ’ t slowed down even after a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers last week .

Canada ’ s basketball team has won nine of their last ten with the game against the Cavs being the only blemish . The Raps are 17-7 as of Monday night and sit in fifth place in the league and second in their conference , behind only the Cleveland Cavaliers . The Golden State Warriors are sitting atop the league with a 21-4 record .

Talks aren ’ t looking too good for the Toronto Blue Jays . Unless you want the Jays to start next season without their two biggest bats . Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion are both looking for a contract and as of right now it doesn ’ t look like Toronto can afford either of them . The Jays have been signing a lot of new faces but no true replacements for the slugging duo . It is still a toss-up as to where the all-stars are going to end up .
