There was a great turn out and other than a few downpours it was a gorgeous day for a car show. Participants were encouraged to pre-register and bring donations for the Crisis Nursery and by the end of the day there was a half-ton full of diapers, paper towels, and other donations including cash. The Allison’s Scoop ice cream truck was there the whole day and contributed 10% of all sales to the Crisis Nursery. Tiger Automotive also held a 50/50 to raise around $200 to add to the donations. A huge thanks to Candise Sinclair and the Tiger Automotive staff who were amazing. The event could not have been planned better. Over the course of the day there were over 75 different vehicles parked in the lot from early 30’s Ford’s to a 2016 Camaro. This show and shine was very well organized and I hope it was the first of many to come from Tiger Automotive. Monday-Friday 9-8 Saturday 10-5 Sunday 12-5 Closed Holidays love For Carly Local residents and businesses are coming together to help support a well-known and much loved family. Rejean and Carly Lepage, owners/ operators of Wrench Fitness in Martensville, have recently been struck by a devastating situation. Carly was diagnosed with Gestational Traphoblastic disease that is the Choriocarcinoma version, and was found to be malignant. News of this came following the birth of their baby girl Ruby, this past June. After giving birth to Ruby, Carly was informed that a tumor had grown with the placenta, and implanted into the uterus, and from there had spread to her lung and ovaries. Due to the aggressive nature of this cancer, she immediately began a full blown chemotherapy treatment plan. The couple also has a two year old boy Logan. A ‘Go Fund Me’ page was created July 29, and as of Wednesday, August 3, the total was at $36,360. Money raised will go towards helping ease the financial burden that the family is experiencing through this emotional time. The young couple has held a number of ‘Curls for Cancer’ fundraisers at Wrench Fitness throughout the years, helping to raise money for cancer research.
