According to Health
Canada’s
website,
“Natural health products
(NHPs) are naturally
occurring
substances
that are used to restore
or maintain good health.
They are often made
from plants, but can also
be made from animals,
microorganisms
and
marine sources. They
come in a wide variety of
forms like tablets, capsules,
tinctures,
solutions,
creams, ointments
and
drops.”

How do i identify nHP
registered oils?
Young Living’s NHP
registered oils will have a
Natural Product Number
(NPN) that will appear on
the label. Which according
to Health Canada’s website
means, “… that the product
has
been authorized
for sale in Canada and
is safe and effective
when used according to
the
instructions on the
label.” In addition, NHP
registered oils will display
an expiration date. Young
Living Canada’s NHP oils
are currently registered
under a three year expiry.
Rest
assured, there has
been no change to the raw
materials used to create
our essential oils, or the
way our oils are distilled,
bottled, stored, or shipped.
However, the registration
of oils as NHPs means
the addition of an expiry
is required to ensure we
meet all Health Canada
requirements.

different
kinds of cards from what
people see in stores. I try
to do different styles of
interactive or unusual cards.
I’ve got this box style that
looks like a little box with
flowers and things popping
out that fold up to go in the
mail. We have cards for all
occasions and I do custom
orders too for weddings or

and I'll put names inside so
that the names will pop up,

sticks, lavender, rosemary,

• 20 drops Citronella
essential oil
• 10 drops Lemongrass
essential oil
• 1 tablespoon witch hazel
• Water to top off glass
bowl or container
• 1 unscented floating
candle
instructions:
1. Gather decorations
and arrange in bowl. We
recommend cutting them
into two-inch pieces so they
don’t bunch at the top of the
bowl or cause it to overturn.
2. Add witch hazel,
Citronella, and Lemongrass
essential oil to the bowl.
3. Fill in the remaining
bowl space with water.
4. After placing your bowl
outside, top it off with the
floating candle and light it
to create a cozy, aromatic

is made from dichroic glass,
which has a foil embedded in
it, which really picks up the
light, causing it to shimmer
and shine. Some of them
change colour, depending on
which way you look at it,” Jeff
explained. The pair also offers
beautiful wine bottle cheese
plates, which are made from
real wine bottles. They are
fired in the kiln until gravity
makes them go flat. These are
sold with a choice of a cheese
knife, making a great addition
to your next event, and a
perfect gift for any occasion.
Jeff also does woodworking,
with options varying from
one of a kind pens that range
in price from $20 to $55,
to wine bottle stoppers, for
someone who likes wine, or
makes wine and is looking for
something unique.
For those of you with a sweet
tooth, don’t miss out on the
chance to try the deliciously
addictive cashew brittle, and
the soft and gooey poppycock.
This is the second year at
the market for Crazy Dog
Designs, and throughout their
time at the market, they have
seen a lot of growth and a
lot more vendors this year.
Having one location inside the
curling rink takes the weather
out of the equation. Jeff
added, “I think once people
get used to Tuesday's hours
that more customers will be
coming. I think people wer e
gone for holidays and it looks
like they're coming back now
from the lake. It seems to be a
good crowd.”
The Martensville Farmers
Market is held in the curling
rink every Tuesday from
10-2. The Market will be
open one evening in August.
