They played their first season in the Linda Downs Division beating New Jack Swing in the semi final and faced the Knockouts in the final. Things looked promising in the first quarter. They were down three but Durant found Bagg for the 45-yard touchdown giving them the 6-3 lead. The Riders had their chances to put up more points but newly signed kicker Johnny Mark hit the uprights and a strike to Bagg ended in a fumble and ended their drive and momentum. again for a 43-yard gain to set up another Mark field goal. Bo Levi Mitchell moved his team down the field and once again Paredes found the uprights giving the Stampeders the 1612 lead going into the half. The Riders were first to strike after the half setting up another field goal for Johnny Mark but Calgary answered back with one of their own on the next series. Bo Levi Mitchell marched his Stamps down the field on an 11 play, 78-yard touchdown series to take a 10-point lead over Mark hit a field goal in the the Riders. The Stampeders second with three minutes sealed the deal when former to the half but the Calgary Rider Jerome Messam ran in offense moved the ball for the major giving Calgary quickly and added a field the 35-15 win.
